a diamond and coal

my mind is twisted
these words burning through my head
leaving a gaping hole,
'even diamonds start off as coal'..
im a diamond, ready to be
shining bright, im your way to see
but you.
your coal,dark,dirty
were everything different
but you know me.
i was coal once
but you made me shine
made me see the world
i saw that i was blind..
every diamond starts as coal
and i was waiting for you,
for your shine
for you to sit up and be mine
but times passed and there you are
coal,
you were my diamond to be.
what do i do now,
should i stay
should i leave.
