Making Government Funny on "Parks and Recreation"

“Parks and Recreation” on NBC is in its third season and is quickly becoming my favorite sitcom. Centered on the fictional town of Pawnee, Indiana, the documentary cameras follow Leslie Knope and crew as they undertake the requirements of working for the Parks Department. Tackling real life issues, such as budget shortfalls, bureaucratic tape, love interests, and daily office on goings, this mockumentary is not a new formula but its presentation and cast make it a stand-out sitcom.

New faces and familiar ones including Amy Poehler as the lead character, Leslie Knope, Rob Lowe as the newest member of the team, Rashida Jones as sweet nurse Ann Perkins, and a score of office workers including newc! omer actors Aziz Ansari and Aubrey Plaza, give this show the best ensemble of personalities on TV fromcabletelevision.net. Full of fresh jokes and ideas while still making you root for the characters, this show has it all.

The network has juggled the show around in varyious time slots over three seasons, but if you're like me and watch the show on Satellite and own a DVR, you can program it so you will never miss an episode regardless of what time it is on.

Check it out!

If you have never watched “Parks and Recreation” be sure to schedule it into your sitcom line up and it will be sure to spark your interest.
