As a parent I always worry about my kids having the right things. I know it shouldn’t matter and that is what I try to teach them, but I would never want them to be embarrassed by what they wear or have or do nor would I want them to be ostracized because of something I have allowed them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to make them the most popular kid because of what they wear or what toys they have. Rather, I am trying to make appropriate choices for them that line up with their peers. Kids grow up way to fast these days and I want to feel confident that the video games they play or the movies they see as well as their fashion choices make sense for their age and the world around them. I believe setting the example of making appropriate choices while they are young will help set a good example for them as they grow up helping them make better choices of their own!

So i'm somewhat of a tech geek at times, and I must say I love me some Apple products. Well with it being Christmas soon I was looking around online and found some great deals!!!! This site has some pretty interesting geek gadgets, and not just for the tech savvy crowd. I honestly use my iTouch for everything, its my calender, notepad, shopping list, it's everything! So being able to use discounts is amazing and I thought I'd share the knowledge!!! Its not just Apple deals that they have either, they have tons and tons of promotional codes for great stores! They also have deals for BestBuy for those movies or laptops you may want, they have discounts for that Dell laptop you've been looking at and even some coupons for Newegg!! I've always been a bit of a penny pincher, so i'm always on the prowl for good store deals. Usually I stick to sales at clothing stores but this site is something I found myself really interested in, especially since being a student, I want the best deals I can find on laptops, printers, binders, notebooks and things for classes! I've only just started the first few pages of The Hunger Games, but I know I'll obsess over it soon!! I've heard great things about this book, non-stop. People tell me they loved it so much that they read it in about 2-3 days, that's when you know you've found a great book. Your up till 5am, finishing the last page, happy about they story but sad it's ending. :] i cant wait to fully throw myself into this book! And i know that they are releasing a Hunger Games movie soon, i saw the trailer! so i guess i may have spoiled the book a bit for myself, but it was just motivation to read the book before seeing the movie! I think both are going to be fantastic! :]

so i haven't been busy, well not too busy, just lazy!! I guess i've pulled another little disappearing act on my site, but just for a few days! Today i was out with lynne all day, mugging muggles, raising hell, cursing rick perry, the normal. But thank god it involved coffee! i swear, i was going to destroy someone. Anyone. I'm a horrible person if i haven't had my morning joe, ya know? It was surprisingly nice outside!! about 75, not too hot not too cold, but i bet next week will be crazy and itll be like 40's all week. freaking Houston.

I've actually always wondered where people bought scrubs. I have some friends who are in different medical fields and they have some of the most interesting looking scrubs. Yeah they have solid colors but sometimes they have some of the cutest designs! I always thought they looked pretty uncomfortable, but some places have pretty comfy scrubs. The other day I saw a commercial on headache specialist. I started getting migraines in my early twenties. They are absolutely terrible. I get about five a month. When I get them, they are just absolutely debilitating. I used satellite internet and searched for a headache specialist in the area. Luckily, after a referral from our primary care physician I got to see a headache specialist. I had to travel about forty-five minutes away, but it was definitely worth it. My doctor encouraged me to keep a log for a month about my migraines. I wrote what I ate and did that day when they started. I would note when they started and when they ended. I would also write down what I took to make myself feel better. When I went back to meet with the doctor we were able to pin point the triggers for my migraines. After tracking them and figuring out the triggers, I have been able to take much better control over my migraines. I can’t even begin to tell you what a relief it is to not get those horrible headaches!

Winter Social!!!

Come out this Saturday, all day, and check out the Winter Social!! Music, people, and funnnnnn :] ima go! Oh, and a band called Shiny Toy Guns will be playing, their big, i think, so if ya like em come see them and lots of local talent!! My boyfriends band will be playing :]  its the unoffcial westfest!

So, on that note.. I was deciding will ill be wearing this weekend, Friday for the downtown tree lighting and Saturday for all those shows and what not. I had it planned out but then i realized it wont be cold! itll be like 72 and warm ish most of the day so i couldn't wear the boots i was planning to wear. And i had a show crises. 0_O"  lol its over now!! :] now coffee and harry potter time. 

Well, maybe ill get into finishing this story i started :]

Censorship law, really world?

i'm hoping this dose not pass, i love my interwebs, i don't need it to be shitty, i don't want to worry about possible lawsuits (or more) because some of the few videos i have, have music playing. This video explains it all pretty well, so if your not so sure what this censorship law will do, go on and give it a gander.

waste of space

I guess part of me just doesn't really understand how you could fall so hard into drugs and drinking, and i say only part. I do realize that yeah, it becomes addicting, and it becomes a crutch in a persons life, but that seems to happen after a while. I don't understand how, in the beginning stages, you could let yourself do that. I know that you for the most part have a somewhat clear mind, do you not think "hey..this could quite possibly be a bad idea, screw over the people around me and make me a complete dick.", did that not cross your mind? it seems obvious. You end up screwing over everyone around you, you cause nothing but trouble and become nothing but a burden to the people around you. How are you ok with being considered that? A burden. A problem. Someone to be avoided by not only family, but your own friends. It infuriates me. But what makes it worse is that you actually don't care about who you hurt, emotionally, physically or financially. All your doing is throwing your own life away, everyone has tried to pull you back to the surface and all you do is dive right back in, and now, everyone has given up. A lost cause is what you've become, your the only one who can pull your self out now but i'm sure you wont. You never do. This is what its all become, part of me hates you, and i'm positive always will, but part of me has the slightest hope that you'll pick yourself up, but a bigger part of me knows you wont. So how do you not think to your self that "maybe i should stop, maybe i should stop screwing everyone over?". if you keep on the way you are, you'll end up dead or in jail for something horrific, i'm sure. You know the damage your doing, you know whats happening, it's your choice. That's what i don't understand, that at some point, you have a choice to continue to waste space or to stop, and you don't stop.
